 . Princess . . Princess . . Princess .
  • Chihuahua, Pug
  • Spayed/Neutered
Princess is a sweet, friendly dog who loves to walk, but nothing too vigorous given her tri-pod status. She is your perfect strolling dog! Princess is all about her people. Other dogs are okay, but she doesn't really go for the whole dog park, hanging out with other dogs scene. She loves a lap and would likely be fine if those laps were with children. We're not sure about cats. But any time you bring a new dog into a home with resident cats, it's a good idea to take introductions very slowly. . Beauford . . Beauford . . Beauford .
  • American Staffordshire Terrier
  • Spayed/Neutered
Beauford is such a fancy fellow, what with white spats on his legs--like he is all ready to dance on out of here to your home. What a lucky family, kids yes, if he goes to your home. You bring up his name around the shelter and people collectively say, "I LOVE Beauford." The veterinary staff said he was the perfect gentleman while they took a look at him. Beauford has been good in our dog play groups here at SHS. We think he is a mix of some big dog, possible pit, possibly everything else under the sun. We know for sure though, Beauford should not being going to a home with any kitties. He shows a little bit too much interest in them. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 82.6 Age: 8yrs 1mths 4wks Animal has been Neutered

 . Maggie .
 . Maggie . . Maggie . . Maggie .
  • Labrador Retriever
  • Spayed/Neutered
Maggie is a sweet lab/cattle dog mix. She is gentle and loves to cuddle and play with balls. Maggie has the best of both breeds, because she is smart with a soft nature. She is looking for an active family that has experience with herding breeds. Older children would be best for this sensitive yet energetic girl. Herding breeds have unique behaviors and require humans that understand their needs. Maggie is keenly aware of her environment, she is alert and highly intelligent. This cutie pie will keep her humans on their toes. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 56 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks Animal has been Spayed

 . Molly . . Molly . . Molly .
  • Pit Bull Terrier
Molly (the blue and white girl) and Travis (the big white fellow) are two very bonded adult Pit Bulls who have lived their entire lives together. They adore each other! Seriously! They sleep together, play together, trade toys with each other and really need to go home together. They have lived with very small children (as young as 2) and were gentle in their interactions. Travis adores playing ball. Not a bad fetch for an older fellow. Molly just wiggles so much you think her little tail is going to fall off. They are a package! Primary Color: Grey Weight: 62 Age: 8yrs 2mths 2wks
Senior, Female, Large
 . Petey .
 . Petey . . Petey . . Petey .
  • Boxer, Australian Shepherd
  • Spayed/Neutered
Do you remember The Little Rascals? Petey is named after their mascot. He is a handsome mix of a dog with an adorable patch over his left eye. Petey is a love bug, and his favorite pastime is to cuddle on the sofa with his people and binge on Netfix. He also loves to play with toys, especially squeaky tennis balls. He prefers to be inside with his family, but also enjoys running next to a bike. His best match would be with a breed experienced family with older kids. He would probably need to be the only pet in the home. Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 58.6 Age: 2yrs 3mths 4wks Animal has been Neutered

 . Leona .
 . Leona . . Leona . . Leona .
  • Pit Bull Terrier
  • Spayed/Neutered
Leona is such a goofy girl---great with other dogs--a really great player in our group dog play action--and very sweet with people. She does appreciate a bit of "get to know you time" before going on a date. Smart doggy! Leona came to our shelter from one of our partner agencies in hopes of casting a wider net to find an adoptive family. That family can, and should, include older children and another dog, if possible. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 59 Age: 2yrs 1mths 3wks Animal has been Spayed

 . Arthur .
 . Arthur . . Arthur . . Arthur .
  • Pit Bull Terrier
  • Spayed/Neutered
This big boy is everything one could want in a big lug of a dog. Arthur adores people of every stripe. Kids may want to be a little on the sturdy side to handle his gregarious approach to life. If you are not careful, you'll end up with a 50-pound lug of dog in your lap or bed. Besides, what's up with his silly little tail? It just completes his style. You can see we adore this guy. He gets along with other dogs wonderfully. He's a player, so matching him with a similar rock and roll play style friend would be amazing. Our volunteers say he's a wonderful buddy but, wow, he needs to work on his leash manners. This fellow is a freight train. That can be modified through training and the use of a front-hooking harness, like a Sensation harness. Arthur's adoption fee has been sponsored. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 53.6 Age: 3yrs 1mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered

 . Bernie .
 . Bernie . . Bernie . . Bernie .
  • American Staffordshire Terrier
  • Spayed/Neutered
Bernie is a big lug of a dog. He's like one big canine grin, from head to tail. He would like you to know he adores people and toys. In fact, he has one super special toy, a big Jolly Ball. A big Jolly Ball loving dog? How cute is that?!? Bernie would do well in family with children, who are on the sturdier side. His friends at the shelter say he is a pretty chill dude and happy-go-lucky. He may be able to live with another dog. There is one thing we want his adopter to know, Bernie has "happy tail." You may have noticed his tail is bandaged. That's because as a method of expressing his happiness, he whacks his tail against the habitat walls, causing injury. We think in a home, you could use this behavior as a counter clearer or if you attached a dust cloth to the tail, someone to keep the dust at bay. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 74.4 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks Animal has been Neutered
