My parents are moving abroad to be closer to family and sadly can’t bring their two much loved cats with them. My partner and I are handling the search to find them a new home (we would take them in ourselves if our household didn’t already include three cats and a dog), and they’re currently being fostered in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of SF.
About the cats:
They are a bonded pair of siblings who have been together their entire lives. My parents found them together in the street when they were only a couple of months old and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They play together, groom each other, eat their meals side by side, and can even share a litter box without any issues. It is extremely important to us that they remain together and so we aren’t considering separate homes for them at this time. Their relationship also means that they are very low maintenance, even for cats, since they are able to get a lot of their play time and affection from each other.
Maxine is a brave, playful, and curious 4-year-old female grey tabby who loves treats, toys, and soft blankets, in that order. She’s a bold investigator of new surroundings and although she is an indoor-only kitty, she has occasionally been known to play the escape artist when her curiosity for the outdoors gets the better of her. When she is not poking her head into closets and under couches, she can often be found either taking a nap or grooming her scaredy-cat brother.
Guerito is a shy but affectionate 4-year-old male ginger tabby. He can be quite skittish when meeting new people and likes to find cozy, discreet hiding spots when acclimating to a new environment (read: nooks, crannies, drawers, dishwashers). Patience and space will be rewarded with a lot of love when he warms up to you, however, and he can also be quite goofy when he comes out of his shell.
They are up to date with their shots, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. We have complete copies of their veterinary records that we will of course make available to potential owners upon request.
