Frequently Asked Questions
It depends! For most dogs, our Basic Foundations 1 class is the best way to get started, since it will introduce you and your pup to all the basic elements of positive reinforcement training. If you are interested in trying something new or have a concern you’d like help with, check out our Busy Brain and Skills & Support classes.
Our group classes offer a mix of theory, or the “why” behind dog training techniques, as well as practical exercises that will help you better communicate with your dog. Our training rooms are set up to ensure all dogs can be comfortable, so we have x-pens with visual barriers allowing each human-dog team to have their own space to work. Please bring a treat pouch, 1-2 cups of treats, a bowl of water, bed or mat for your dog to lay on, and a toy or chew that your dog loves!
We love it when the whole family is involved but need to limit attendance due to space in our training rooms. 2 people per household may attend class. Children must be 10+ years old and accompanied by an adult when attending training classes. We will send home study guides after class that can be shared with additional household members to help everyone practice at home!
