Hello,

I am looking for a home for my dog Stevie Nix. Belgian Malanois x Tibetan Mastiff. 1yr 11mo old ~60lbs. Spayed after 1st heat. Up to date with all of her shots.

In our time together, I’ve had her every minute of every day since she was 11 weeks. She was with me at work (I am a contractor) riding in a kennel in the car and then being with me at client’s homes. She has had a lot of exposure to different environments and does well in public on leash.

She is protective, and will sound off if anyone she doesn’t know approaches me, my family or employees (if she is stationary).

We did weekly group training when she was a puppy and she also did a 25 day boarded training with the same woman when she was ~1yr. She cannot not be left at home for a work day. She has not been destructive while I’ve had her but she definitely has separation anxiety (no thanks to me always having her with me). She has barrier aggression as well and will sound off if anyone knocks at the door. Suffice to say she is an on leash dog. I let her run when I am hiking on private property or at the dog park. But otherwise her exercise needs to be walking and training games, and with her endurance, that’s a lot of walking.

She also has a strong prey drive and will want to chase any animal that turns its back and runs.

So that’s the bad and the ugly. But Stevie is my girl and I am in a lot of pain having to give her up. She deserves someone who can meet her needs. She is an extremely intelligent dog and very affectionate with my family. She has a playful personality and loves playing with other dogs. And other dogs around makes her a lot calmer. She grew up with our 9 year old mutt and she adores him and he makes her noticeably more at ease. She is half guard dog half police dog, so considering her heritage her traits are not her fault, so just needs the right owner to make them shine.

I can provide more pictures as well as my trainers number if needed. And of course answer and further questions.

Thank you,

Landin
