Two lovely rescued street cats looking for new forever home: together or separately:
Rescued from the streets of Istanbul as a kitten, Mona is an extroverted, neutered female who loves to sit on people; that’s her main hobby. She is very friendly and loves eating.
She is very good with kids and has tolerated the antics of my 10 yo son and often sits on him and cuddles with him. Our home has one adult and one child and two cats.
Mona loves sleeping. She is affectionate and will keep you company at home. She often rolls onto her back so you can scratch and rub her chubby belly. About 2.5 years old, vaccinated, dewormed and healthy. She is chipped (abroad) and received rabies vaccination.
She has lived with her sometimes friend Galaxy, who is a year older since she was a kitten.
Galaxy
Rescued from the streets of Istanbul when she was around eight months old, Galaxy is a friendly, neutered female cat.
She is shy with new people, but once she is comfortable with them, she is very affectionate and loves sitting near or on her humans.
She is very good with kids and has tolerated the antics of my 10-year-old son; she likes sitting near him. Our home has one adult, one child, and two cats. She is okay with our other cat, but I have a feeling that she will be even better in a one-cat home. She seems to be more affectionate when our other cat is in a different room.
At night, she becomes incredibly affectionate and very loving. She is an expert at sleeping. If you give her a comforting belly rub, she will lie on her side.
Galaxy is about 3.5 years old, vaccinated, dewormed, and has her rabies shot. She was chipped (abroad).
She eats special/high-quality food as her stomach is sensitive, but she is otherwise healthy.

Why do we need to rehome our beloved cats?:
My son and I have been living in Istanbul, Turkey, the land of cats, for nearly four years now. We are returning to California in December to stay with family. My father has been diagnosed with aggressive cancer, so we’ll stay with him in his small home, where there isn’t room for the cats, and his partner is allergic to cats.
I couldn’t find anyone to adopt our cats in Istanbul, so we decided to bring them with us back home in California, we’re I’m praying she can find a new home. We’re hoping to find a friendly family who can foster and/or adopt Mona and Galaxy.
We are reluctantly looking for a home for our cats, whom we rescued from the streets of our beloved neighborhood in Istanbul. It’s nearly impossible to find people willing to adopt adult cats in Istanbul because every block is full of street cats, including cute kittens.
We will take Mona and Galaxy with us by plane to the Bay Area but will need to drop them off once we arrive at a cat-loving home where they will receive lots of love and care.
