Sweet, beautiful Leo who is about a year old, was recently rescued with only moments to spare from the euthanasia line at Lancaster shelter in Los Angeles County. He was a volunteer favorite at the shelter due to his affability, willingness to engage, goofiness and his handsome looks. Leo came up on a transport and it was obvious that he had not been in a home as he was too frightened to go inside the car or house. He has come such a long way very quickly and now leaps into the car and knows the house is a comfortable pleasurable place. This boy is just so loving, not an ounce of anything but sheer enthusiasm for people and dogs. We have three dogs and he gets along beautifully with them all. We also have indoor only cats and he does pretty with them though he is still learning some boundaries. Now that he has had some time to decompress, he has started training and he is very responsive and wants to please. He is very treat motivated and that makes training go smoothly. He loves playing fetch, playing with other dogs and being around people. He would be a fantastic hiking partner. He is an absolutely wonderful and gorgeous boy and will be a devoted, cuddly and somewhat silly family member. He is neutered, vaccinated and Vet checked by one of the senior Veterinarians at PetCare. It will be very hard for us to give him up, but if we don’t, we can not save another from euthanasia.
