Mika came to us through friends, and was originally from a free litter being rehomed. We have been fostering her for 7 weeks and we just adore her. Unfortunately, with our very elderly dog in the house, the timing is off for us to keep a new puppy. We’re seeking a sweet home and family for Mika, and would love to meet you if you feel you’d be a good fit!

– I’m 4 months old and learning so many new things; potty training is going well, I’m exploring my kennel, and I’m getting used to leash walking and car rides.
– My favorite thing is to be with my people. I love to sleep at your feet, follow you around the house, and cuddle on the couch. I’d really love a home with people around most of the day, especially since I’m young and still learning/bonding.
– I like to learn new tricks and follow commands, and I’m extra motivated when there are treats involved; I can sit, come, leave it, wait, and touch, to name a few.
– I’m curious about my kitty acquaintance at home … but nervous enough not to pester him!
– I like to be around other confident and playful dogs; I don’t love aggressive play, but puppy tumbling and chase are the BEST!
– Kids are so much fun. I love to snuggle with my 10yo/8yo/4yo friends … but I do alert them if I need space, and I appreciate when they are gentle and respectful.
– I do like to chew … but I don’t chew shoes! I really like duck jerky/treats and the Trader Joe’s Cheesy Chew Sticks.
– My foster parents suspect I’m allergic to chicken, but I like lamb and salmon pretty well, so it’s okay.
– I enjoy social outings and love to meet new people. I’m also super excited to start Puppy Social Hour soon!
– I’m not spayed yet, but my foster mom has an appointment scheduled in May when I turn 6mo – you can keep this appointment (low cost spay).
– I have completed my DAPP vaccines through the Humane Society’s free vaccine clinic – thank you HS!
– Maybe my coolest trick … I can sleep through the night (preferably in bed with my people!) with no waking or accidents.
– I weigh 15lbs right now, and most people guess that’ll I’ll reach about 30lbs … the perfect size for walking without tugging. 😉
