3.5 year old female Saint Bernard in need of a new home. She is very well behaved and has nice house manners. I have just had her for a few months but she will not stop chasing my cat and I feel it best for all for her to be in a cat free home. She seems as she was an under socialized girl and is a bit afraid of things in the outside world. She is afraid of most dogs we meet, but warms up and wants to play when properly introduced. She is not crazy about taking walks I think it is due to her being outside of her comfort zone, i.e. the house and her familiar surroundings. I feel she needs a nice big fenced yard to patrol to help her release some of her energy. She is pretty mellow but still needs some play time and running around. She is getting spayed and microchipped the week of this posting and is up to date on her vaccines. She grew up in a family with kids but I don’t know first hand how she is with children. She definitely doesn’t realize her size so older kids would probably be best. She is a “petite” Saint Bernard at 93#. And yes she drools and sheds quite a bit but is oh so sweet and likes to be near her people. She has done fine when left alone, she is not crate trained. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. Contact: beththorp@mac.com.
