Rue is a 4 year old female Anatolian Shepherd mix, about 90 lbs, that is in need of re-homing due to no fault of her own. She is spayed and up to date with all vaccines and care.
Rue was originally picked up as a stray and taken to a high-kill shelter in Texas at about a year old. She was quickly rescued from there by a professional dog training school that quickly spotted her potential. They easily leash, potty and crate trained her. Due to her fast learning, she was selected for agility training within the rescue, which wasn’t really her style. She’s more of a lounger, and prefers a good treat and a daily walk and chilling next to her family, although a hike or car ride is always welcomed. She is extremely well-behaved both indoors and out. She knows several playful commands and is very treat motivated and a quick learner.
Her good nature melts everyone’s hearts. She loves kids and other dogs, and is a very relaxed and gentle soul who loves the outdoors. She doesn’t have much cat experience, but she interacts with most animals with a gentle curiosity, including a neighbor’s cat, goats and horses. The one exception is turkey vultures. Rue does not like them.
Rue’s adoptive family has loved her dearly for the past 3 years, but due to an unfortunate family situation, Rue needs a new home. Contact: coneill777@hotmail.com.
